In 1997 Bonnie started studying and taking art lessons from a local artist and well-known teacher in the area and so began her love affair with the art world. Since then, she has been fortunate enough to be able to take workshops, classes and attend lectures from both many local artists, national artists, and international artists. Now she is the one who gives those workshops, teaches classes and gives lectures both locally and nationally. She is currently President of The Rochester Area Colored Pencil Club (RACPC), Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (cpsa). She also served as a board member of the American Society of Botanical Artists. In addition to showing in some local galleries, she has consistently won awards such as Best of show, Judges awards and Merit awards for her Colored pencil work.
