Harriet Heller

A highly respected pottery teacher and artist for more than 30 years, Harriet Heller is known for expertly crafted wheel-thrown pottery that is creatively exciting and suitable for everyday use. She emphasizes size and shape to enhance function, and overlays glazes to create fresh and varied designs. Her stoneware and porcelain work is sold in area galleries. Harriet has a BS in ceramics from SUNY Brockport and is one of the original founders of Genesee Pottery in 1972. Harriet has been teaching Introduction to the Wheel levels I and II since 2011 and finds the experience of guiding students how to improve their skills very rewarding.
