Identity & History: Photographs Inspired by David Levinthal

Summer 2018, in our week-long workshop Studio Photography for Teens, students designed historical scenes using various toys and materials creating their own interpretation of history and identity. Students worked with instructors Juliana Muniz & Elizabeth Raymonda to learn how to photograph their scenes in our professional lighting studio here at the Center using a variety of digital cameras and a Fujifilm Instax Wide instant film camera.

Students also had the unique experience of meeting renowned photographer David Levinthal for an exclusive tour of his exhibition David Levinthal: War, Myth, Desire at George Eastman Museum.

This week-long experience was presented in partnership with George Eastman Museum.
